I am NOT defending this case, but - ALL Plagiarism is NOT BAD!!!!
Almost ALL writing is Plagiarism in some form.
“It was almost verbatim.”
is bad,
but
HOW does anyone take info from one place
and make it their own?

Tuesday, April 10, 2007 More Evidence that Plagiarism is Bad By Dr. Steven Taylor
(Not that I needed more evidence).Via the AP: CBS News fires producer for plagiarism
A CBS News producer was fired and the network apologized after a Katie Couric video essay on libraries was found to be plagiarized from The Wall Street Journal.
[…]
An editor for The Wall Street Journal called CBS News to point out the similarities of the April 4 notebook item to Zaslow’s article, headlined “Of the Places You’ll Go, Is the Library Still One of Them?” The pieces talk about how libraries are seen differently by children from their parents.
“We were horrified,” CBS News spokeswoman Sandra Genelius said.
“It was almost verbatim.”
It is sufficiently shocking and stunning when lazy 19-year-olds do this kind of stuff to avoid doing real work. It is utterly incomprehensible that a professional adult would do this kind of thing, yet they do.

WHAT STORY COULD BE MORE IMPORTANT THAT MSOFT SHUTTING DOWN GOOGLE AND YAHOO?
WAR - MSOFT, GOOGLE, YAHOO
As the WAR between Microsoft, Google, and Yahoo heats up.
This file = http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgwzbkk9_89cpfdff
MSoft has made a move that has gone unnoticed by some.
Windows Based PC users that run Internet Explorer 7 have experienced problems when they close one of their tabs.
They get an error message - that Internet Explorer had a problem and will shut down.
When it shuts down - all unsaved data/text is lost.
MSoft Tech Support will instruct the caller to un-install Google and Yahoo Toolbar.
Once these add-on's are un-installed, Internet Explorer will function Properly.
This raises the question - If MSoft can Block any Google of Yahoo program from running on a Windows Based PC, what is to keep them from blocking others.
Windows based PCs have to run MSoft programs.
But, they don't have to run Google of Yahoo programs.
Since both Google and Yahoo's income is strictly Ad Bases - who would advertise with either if they are locked out of running on Window Based PCs?
All 3 of them have brought this problem on themselves.
They have ALL 3 cut themselves OFF from their users,
but using Outsourcing, and impossible to find telephone numbers.
I am NOT going to accuse MSoft of deliberately blocking Google and Yahoo,
but if YOU have trouble - getting an error message saying - Internet Explorer has an error and will shut down.
The FIX is un-installing Google and Yahoo Toolbars.
Jim Coates, Syndicated writer, has written on the subject in his tech support column.
